Join us for a day to celebrate life and the strength of our community!
This community has carried its families through the most difficult of miles, and we want to celebrate that beautiful teamwork.
We will have games where you can compete, and games where you must collaborate to win. There will also be a community bike ride where we will all follow the same path, but we might start and end our journeys at different times. The meeting point will be Elmer Smith Park in Charlton, and riders are invited to sign up to fundraise for The Miles Together, in honor of Nick Henry.
Bring your friends, your family, your neighbors, and your best field day spirit. Whether you come to play, cheer, ride, or just soak in the good vibes—you’ll be part of something powerful.

Ride to Raise
We all share a path, starting and ending at different times. This is a ride to honor loved ones who have had to navigate difficult miles while dealing with cancer treatment.
Riders are able to register and begin fundraising, by clicking the “Ride to Raise” button on our main campaign page.
Participants are then able to join us anytime after 10am on September 13th. You may choose to complete any distance you wish, using our shared path.
Join when you can, leave when you must.
For those who wish to participate but are not local, we invite you to register, fundraise and bike your favorite path on Sunday.

Silent and Online Auction
Again, our incredible community has shown their generosity and compassion. Small and large businesses alike have generously donated items, gift cards and services for registered participants to bid on during the in-person silent auction or online.
Please note that the auction is a hybrid event, meaning bids will be accepted online and in-person simultaneously and the bidding will be updated as close to real-time as possible.

Get Involved
The Meaning Behind the Miles
Our goal is simple, but powerful: reduce the obstacles on the path ahead for those fighting a rare type of cancer. The Miles Together is a local nonprofit organization devoted to supporting people who are navigating a rare cancer diagnosis and facing inequitable access to care. We are uniquely built to accommodate the growing trend of rare cancer diagnosis in young people, including those with young children.
In Honor of Nick
The Miles Together was built around Nick Henry, a beloved husband, son, brother, friend and father of 4 young children.
Nick challenged and inspired us all to rise to our full strength. Nick was driven by a passion to excel and challenge himself in ways that force growth and grant a sense of accomplishment.
He fought valiantly against neuroendocrine carcinoma, a rare and aggressive type of cancer. This type of cancer does not respond to standard forms of treatments, and requires extensive travel to clinical trials. Through sheer willpower, Nick fought for progress and showed his medical team that winning the battle is possible with the appropriate weapons and armor.
And that is where we have to take the baton
We are here, honoring Nick, as we challenge ourselves to take on the unique obstacles that rare types of cancer present to those who must fight them.
So in his honor, we show up, together.
